Class 4

After getting fresh eyes on our new pictures with our old ones, we think we're going to make a puzzle type of thing.... where the pictures all kinda fit together to make one big image, but they would be separated enough to see the individual picture. We've got all the pictures on my computer now and we're going into the process of putting them in photoshop and editing them. With these pictures, we used a higher quality camera instead of our phones to have better images and they've turned out great!

Day 3 Picture Day

Seeing the others pictures really put all of our different views of the piece in perspective. It's interesting that we all had different pictures of the space, it seems each one of us took the photos from different distances. While I took mine super close up, Zoe took hers a little bit further away, Krystal had pictures of the entire scrim pieces and Sophie took hers from a very distant spot and was able to capture the production aspect of the project with all of us working on putting the scrim up. So together I feel like we will have a great group of pictures that show several different aspects of the project.

Right now we're in the works of determining the direction we want to go for our presentation. We have an idea but we're still thinking of different options that could showcase our words while being visually appealing.

Day 3

Today we had a picture critique and after that we continued working on our scrims.
We finally finished it as a spider web shape. However, the top section looks a little bit empty, so we hope that we can have more interaction with other groups.
Also, During the picture critique, it was really amazing that each of us took and printed our picture in different style. We also took a lot of good pictures with Stephanie's camera afterwards.

Day #3: Pieces Coming Together

After the third day of working on our installation project, I think we are all feeling really good about where things are going and how each piece is coming together.  Now that other groups have begun hanging more fabric, we were able to interact more.  Instantly I was able to see some really great "moments" happening within the room, which makes the photography portion of this project more exciting.

Seeing the room as a whole and viewing the project through a camera lens is an interesting experience because the camera seems to catch more intricacies and movement.  I find the room a little overwhelming as a whole, but the pictures are able to focus on the conversations happening between the different designs...I find it really beautiful.

I'm excited to go in tomorrow and add the last finishing touches and start incorporating light before we turn all our focus on to the presentation portion of the project.  The project has been a fun experience in getting to know and work with new people, and I think we are really starting to mesh as a group and class.  Since the interior design students spend so much time together and we've built strong friendships over the last four years, I think some of us were hesitant about working with people from other areas of study.  We all know how one another work and what each of our strengths are, so having new people come into the little family we've established was hard to get used to, but I think we've managed well over the last three weeks.  I look forward to seeing how the rest of the semester pans out.

Picture Day

Today was quite a milestone for not only ours, but everyone's project. We have reached a point of completion where real input can be given and that took place in all of our photos from the previous week being critiqued. This is a pivotal part in the process; we have a point of reference for how we should continue on and reach a finished product to take final pictures this week. We also used to the day to discuss what Mary and Marleen had said about our photos and take that input and turn it into a direction to go in finishing our installation. From that, we decided how we would go about taking our final photos this upcoming Friday so that they will be cohesive with our ideas for the final presentation. After talking and settling in on how we want to display and present our installation in a few weeks, we spent a decent amount of the end of our day taking some new photos.
